By creating an account or placing an order on FrugalText, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms may be updated; the top of the page shows when the current version took effect, and we will email registered customers when we make a material change.

You must be 18 years old or have a parent or guardian place the order on your behalf. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current.

Your account credentials are yours to protect. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your login; notify us at once if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not responsible for losses that result from a password you chose to share.

You can close your account at any time from the account dashboard. We can suspend or close an account if we detect fraud, chargeback abuse, or repeated failure to return rented books.

Prices shown at checkout include all applicable taxes and shipping. A rental order charges the rental price at the time of purchase; a late fee or damage fee is only charged under the conditions described in the Rental Policy. Payment is authorised at order placement and captured when the order ships.

If an item is mispriced on the site due to a clear typographical error, we may cancel and refund the order rather than fulfil at the mistaken price. We will tell you before cancelling and give you the option of repurchasing at the correct price.

Orders ship from our Brooklyn, NY location and are typically delivered within 3 to 9 business days from the time of order. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier marks the shipment delivered. If a shipment arrives damaged or never arrives, contact us within seven days and we will replace the book or refund your order.

Purchase returns are accepted for 30 days from delivery in the condition you received. A 15 percent restocking fee applies to refunded purchases, and the original shipping is non-refundable. Rental returns follow the Rental Policy linked from your order confirmation; end-of-semester rental returns ship free.

You may not scrape, crawl, or resell FrugalText catalogue data without our written permission. You may not use the site to break any law, to harass any other user, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network. You may not submit false buyback ISBNs to manipulate quote pricing.

FrugalText provides the site on an as-is basis and does not warrant that every listing is error-free or that the site will always be available. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. This limit does not apply to statutory consumer rights where those cannot be waived.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
